You will need to allow a minimum of 1½ hours for your appointment depending on what tests are requested by the doctor.
Firstly, you will be seen by an orthoptist who will record history, check vision and administer drops to dilate the pupils. These drops can take up to 25 minutes to work and will affect the vision for up to four hours, therefore we advise patients not to drive following their appointment, either bring a driver or arrange to be collected- we can ring when your appointment is completed.
Payment is requested on the day –Cash, Cheques, Eftpos and Credit cards are all accepted.
Note we do not take American Express or Diners Club cards.
All consultations will attract a fee and Medicare rebates will be refunded on the day if you have registered with Medicare.
Pension and Health Care Card holders will receive a concession rate.

The following tests may be requested by your ophthalmologist:
- OCT Ocular Coherence Topography is $80.00 and non refundable from Medicare
- Photo is $40.00 and non refundable from Medicare
